Seating at Gate City is nowhere near as bad as it is at UVA Wise. Parking stinks at Wise too.Quote:

GCs need for half the visitor seating is WAY overblown I know the last time Clintwood played there GC had half the visitor seating but 1/3 of the home seats were empty. IMHO GC just wants to be able to stack there fans behind there opponents bench
I've been adamant about that for years now.
When PV traveled over there for big games, the PV fans had to all crunch together to sit, while the GC home stands were quite full, but nowhere near the visitor side.
There's no rules against it, its shady and unethical, but theres nothing anyone can do about it.
But dont complain about the visitor seating at UVAW when GC has one of the worst arrangements for visitors.

Yes they would be but since half wanna sit on the visitors side, they have to complain about the visitor seating. And the parking situation isn't great but you're also dealing with 2 games, 4 teams, and whomever else shows up. If you had 2 games going on at the Great City, you would have parking problems too.

What I am saying about the seating is if it is supposed to be so neutral then the seating should be the same size on the visitors side as it is on the home side. But if the Higher seed hosts then seating does not need to be the same. That is part of home field advantage.
BTW The seating at GC is for atmosphere only. A lot of teams like that type of atmosphere. GC has been doing it for as long as I remember. If other teams dont like it then try playing Volunteer or Letcher Central where both fans have to sit on one side only.
